Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist as well as a TV host and owner of the liberally independent online newspaper The Huffington Post. From Greece, Arianna Huffington moved to England along with her family members at 16 years old. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA diploma in Economics. The first non-native English speaking student to graduate, she was voted the president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her name as an editor for a conservative newspaper and, with the advent of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions on the political scenario. Her celebrity status helped her in bringing on a host of well-known contributors to post their views on news, politics and other topics. Arianna gained fame when she made the decision to contest as an independent in the California recall election, to take over Governor Davis. The project she headed was an Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. She was ranked 12th in Forbes' list of most influential media women. That same year, Guardian listed her among the 100 top media figures. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the President of their media group, which also included other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos journalist, and a management consultant. The couple was close to her father. But it was her relationship to her mother that formed her. She was a leader even in her early years. In her 16th year beginning her education at her native United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she enrolled in the college debate group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of master's in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a columnist and critic and a television host.
